Ivan Riascos has a long history of being involved with the arts in some capacity. Picture framing, art handling, gallery assistant, art instructor, and art administration. From 2016 to 2022, he worked for the artist residency program at Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach. Since the Spring of 2023, he has worked as the Art School Manager at Art and History Museums Maitland in Maitland, Florida. His main responsibility is creating an art program that benefits the local community.
Ivan is also a multidisciplinary artist who earned his BFA degree with an emphasis in photography from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2008. In 2014, he obtained his MFA degree in Emerging Media from the University of Central Florida, where he was awarded the MFA Provost Fellowship. Recently, he was a finalist for Pathways 2022: The Carlos Malamud Prize. He has exhibited in Atlanta, Chicago, Milwaukee, Orlando, and Tampa.
He currently resides in Orlando, Florida, making art, zines, reading theory books, and trying to make a living as a full time artist.
